How to time revision
Work backwards from your sitting. Book first, then build volume, then rehearse the timed paper.
3 months out
- Book the sitting if the window is open
- Cover the physics syllabus once
- 20 questions a day, with explanations
6 weeks out
- 50 questions a day on weak topics
- Timed blocks, not open-book browsing
- Formula sheet until recall is automatic
2 weeks out
- Full-length mocks in exam conditions
- Review only the misses
- Confirm ID, venue, and travel
What each paper looks like
Physics
- Format
- 200 true/false items. 40 stems, 5 statements each.
- Duration
- 2 hours. About 36 seconds per statement.
- Pass mark
- Set per sitting by Angoff. Often around 60 to 80 percent.
- Attempts
- Maximum 6 (RCR rule since 2015).
Anatomy
- Format
- 100 image questions. Name the arrowed structure.
- Duration
- 90 minutes. About 54 seconds per question.
- Content
- Plain film, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine.
- Scoring
- 2 if correct, 1 if partial (for example missing laterality), 0 if wrong.
