Exam day is logistics plus composure. The checklist below is educational — your booking confirmation from the RCR is the source of truth for ID, venue, and timing.
The night before
- Pack photo ID exactly as specified in your booking materials.
- Know travel time with a buffer; screenshot offline maps if needed.
- Light Incorrects only — no new chapters.
- Set two alarms; plan breakfast you already tolerate.
At the centre
- Arrive early enough to clear security without rushing.
- Use the first minute of the paper to settle pacing, not to panic-scan every stem.
- Keep hydration and breaks within the rules of the sitting.
During the paper
- Read the modality and the absolute words first.
- Do not argue with a stem for three minutes — flag and return.
- Leave a deliberate final pass for flagged items only.
Afterwards
Do not rebuild the paper with friends for hours. Note two or three topics that felt weak, then step away. If you have another sitting later in the year, those notes become your Week −4 gap list.
